Project – New Floors

by msv on Feb.24, 2010, under engineered hardwood, new floors

This is a project in Braselton,GA that we started 2 weeks ago , when we installed solid unfinished 3 and 1/4″ red oak on the upstairs hallway and solid unfinished stair treads.
As this house is a new construction, we had to wait for the trim and painting to be finished before we started sanding. Downstairs we will install a prefinished engineered wood on concrete. We used a combination of stains to achieve the best match between the prefinished wood and the site sanded one.  Tomorrow(02/25/2010) we will be installing the engineered wood in the dining room and apply the second coatof Bona Kemi finish on the upstairs hallway and steps.
Update: 02/25/2010 – The dining room was installed as scheduled and the second coat of finish on upstairs and steps was applied. We have added ew photos to the gallery.
